Coral reefs, vital habitats for ocean species, are at the brink of collapse due to ocean acidification. The sudden deaths of coral reefs, which can take thousands of years to build up but only weeks to be completely wiped out, require conservation workers to act quickly in order to replace the structures. My solution to address this ecological catastrophe was to generate visual programming language script which produced coral-like structures which can be varied by size and shape. These can then be printed using calcium carbonate and put together to form larger structures which will promote coral growth and help regrow ecosystems.
